a step forward

Today I told someone about Kayla.  It was the first time I have been able to share what has happened to me to someone who never even knew I was pregnant.  I also was able to share with her without crying.  I have been working with this woman all summer, and we have a good working relationship.

While waiting for another co-worker to head back to the community center after a day at the water park with 65 kids (love my job!), I just kind of spilled it out to her.  She was SO RECEPTIVE.  She asked me some questions, expressed how sorry she was, then the amazing thing happened.  She shared that she had TWO stillbirths before her daughter was born (now 15 years old).

I just feel such a connection go people when I find out they have had a major loss like this too.  She was receptive, because she knows how I'm feeling.  I don't think it was a coincidence that she was the first person I've shared Kayla's story with, I think God is bringing just the right people into my life at the right time.
