Days 17-23 Capture Your Grief

Day 17:  Anniversary/Due Date On Kayla's one year anniversary we went to a nature lodge for the weekend.  It was a nice retreat and we hope to do it every year on or around her birthday.  

 

Day 18:  Family Portrait We don't have any pictures of us with Livia and something that represents Kayla, so I chose a picture from our wedding.  This is the beginning of our family.  We had no clue what our family would look like just 2 years after we got married, but here we are.  

Day 19 Project:  Since having Livia I haven't done any grief projects, but this is a simple painting I did last fall, just some song lyrics that I like that make me think of Kayla. 

Day 20 Charity:  Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.  I am so grateful that my hospital uses this organization.  If they didn't, we probably wouldn't have any photos of Kayla because I just could not bring myself to take pictures of my dead baby.  Our photographer was a wonderful emotional support and I still stay in touch with her. 

Day 21 Altar/Shrine:  Kayla's urn, an angel and her name bracelet from the hospital

Day 22 place of birth:  This is the hospital where I gave birth to both my girls.  This picture was taken on the way to be induced with Livia.  The lighting was so amazing, it gave me a sense of peace.
