name gallery

I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to do this for Kayla's birthday or not, but I finally decided to just do it but not put pressure on myself to "finish" it by her birthday. 

I sent the following message to friends and family tonight and wanted to post it here also, in case anyone out there wants to help us celebrate Kayla's memory.  

In two weeks it will be a year since we said hello and goodbye to our daughter Kayla. We have come a long way in our grief and are so grateful for the support of friends and family (you!) 

To help honor Kayla's memory, we are going to create a "name gallery" for her.  We don't get to say, see or write her name as much as we would like to.  We already have a few images of her name that are very special to us.  If you would like to participate, we would love to see Kayla's name in a photo from you!  It doesn't have to be anything elaborate, but would mean a lot to us.  We will compile all of the names into an album.  Here is an example of a name gallery http://churchonmission.typepad.com/photos/whitneys_name_gallery/index.html  if you need some ideas.

I think I was hesitating because if I do anything, I want it to be big, perfect, beautiful.  But it won't be perfect, because she died, so I just have to do my best.  I am so grateful for all of the people I have "met" through this blog--I truly feel less alone by being able to read your stories and share my Kayla with you all.
