Wow. Livia and I were just playing on her playmat and I clicked on a Children's station on my pandora radio account. The very first song that came up was You are My Sunshine, the version in the video above. It brought me to tears--when we were pregnant with Kayla, that was the song I used to announce my pregnancy to my family, by making a very cute video that ended with... "and we are expecting our own little sunshine on June 21st." I don't really believe in signs, but sometimes I just can't ignore these moments when I feel Kayla close to me. It was a nice moment, I sat and rocked and sang to Livia while I was also crying for Kayla. What if Livia was the baby sister instead of just the only baby in the house? I can't even imagine what Kayla's little 15 month old spirit would be like as we played inside on this rainy day. But, it made me smile to have that connection to her. Livia is going to think her mom is crazy, smiling and crying at the same time randomly throughout the day.

We have a connection with "Here Comes the Sun". Must be something to it that we both relate to songs about sunshine and happiness and being alright.
