Shadow box

Two years later and I finally made and hung up a shadow box for Kayla. It felt good to do something for her. It's not perfect but my love for her is, and it was made with a lot of love!

My grief has stabilized again after getting through all the hard dates. Sometimes a bright burst of sunshine or summer breeze will transport me back to either that first summer, when the nice weather and sunshine felt like they were mocking the darkness inside of me, or to last summer, when I was pregnant and living in fear of another great loss. I hope to make lots of summer memories this year that are fun, and can override some of those darker emotions.
